Our Starlink installation SME’s received a service request from a homeowner in Crawfordville, FL, for the professional setup of a Starlink Standard (model) for their three-story home.
To determine the installation feasibility, we performed an Initial Offsite Assessment. This process involved analyzing satellite imagery of the property to examine the property’s layout, dimensions, roof type and access point, and potential obstructions at the site. Additionally, we requested on-site photos to view the actual site conditions that could impact the installation. This allowed us to allocate the correct materials, equipment, and personnel for the efficient and smooth Starlink installation.

After the initial offsite assessment, we assisted the customer in ordering the Starlink Standard Kit and secured the customer’s approval for the job order. Once the delivery of the Starlink equipment was confirmed, we coordinated the installation schedule with our Starlink team in Crawfordville, FL.

The SOW (scope of work):
- Set-up the Starlink Standard Kit using standard wall mount
- Route the cable to the customer’s desired router location.
- Activate & configure the Starlink Gen3 WiFi mesh router
- Provide the customer with guidance on using the Starlink app.
- Test and document the installations with photos
Our Starlink installation team arrived and initiated the process with a Starlink Obstructions Test using the Starlink app. This crucial step ensures optimal placement of the Starlink dish by evaluating the surroundings for potential obstructions—such as trees, buildings, or other structures—that could interfere with the line of sight to the Starlink satellite network.
The team then securely mounted the Starlink dish using a J-mount with a pipe adapter.
The proprietary cable routed from the outdoor dish to the indoor Gen 3 WiFi Mesh Router using a cable routing kit. The final indoor connection was carefully mounted in the customer-approved location to maximize WiFi coverage and guarantee a reliable, high-speed internet experience throughout the home.
The Gen 3 WiFi Mesh Router was configured using the Starlink app and customized to the customer’s preferred network name (SSID) and password, personalizing the system for easy identification and enhanced security.
We walked the customer through the key features of the Starlink app, highlighting tools for managing and optimizing their network. The app includes real-time speed tests to monitor performance and offers quick options to refresh or reset the network, addressing any connectivity issues. With built-in troubleshooting and optimization features, the app empowers users to maintain and enhance their internet experience.
Next, our team performed the Starlink Alignment Test, an essential step to ensure the dish was positioned accurately for optimal satellite connectivity. Utilizing the advanced tools within the Starlink app, we fine-tuned the dish’s orientation to guarantee it was aimed in the best direction for capturing the strongest possible signal.
Finally, after completing the installation, our team conducted Starlink Speed Tests, confirming the connectivity performance.
