The Starlink installer arrived onsite and began the dish installation at the confirmed location with a “Good experience” rating from the Starlink Obstructions Test.
Starlink Obstructions Test
The Starlink dish was installed using brackets and a Pivot mount, providing a stable and adjustable setup on a metal roof. The brackets securely attach the dish to the roof, offering a solid foundation that minimizes movement due to wind or environmental factors. At the same time, the Pivot Mount allows precise angle adjustments to ensure optimal satellite alignment and signal reception. This combination is ideal for maintaining stability and maximizing Starlink’s performance, especially on sloped metal roofs where achieving a clear line of sight to satellites is crucial.

The Starlink cable was carefully routed from the dish down to the wall. Using a cable routing kit, the cable was secured along the roof panels and guided neatly to prevent any unnecessary exposure to wind or potential damage. Weatherproof clips and fasteners kept the cable in place, ensuring a clean and organized installation. It was then passed through a designated entry point on the wall, sealed with a grommet to prevent water ingress and maintain a professional finish.

Inside, the cable was routed discreetly along the interior wall, leading to the Gen3 WiFI Mesh Router’s strategic location for maximum coverage across the home.
We activated the Gen 3 WiFi Mesh Router by connecting it to the Starlink terminal and ensuring all components were properly set up. After plugging in the power cable and allowing the system to initialize, we accessed the Starlink app to monitor the connection status and configure the network settings. We customized the WiFi network name (SSID) and password, ensuring a secure and personalized connection.
To enhance user experience, we guided the customer through the key features of the Starlink App, including:
Resetting their WiFi password
Running speed tests
Refreshing or resetting the Starlink network
Troubleshooting common connectivity issues

Our Starlink installers conducted the Starlink alignment test using the Starlink app to confirm that the dish had a clear, unobstructed view of the sky—an essential factor for ensuring a stable connection with minimal disruptions.
Next, Speed Tests were performed after installation to assess the system’s internet performance. The first image was taken by our expert Starlink installer, while the second image was taken by the customer several hours after the installation.
