Our Starlink Installation SMEs conducted an initial offsite assessment to collect customer requirements and essential information about the property, Starlink & mounting equipment purchased/received, mounting preferences, site photos and possible obstructions on the area.
After the assessment, the team sent installation proposal for customer review. Once approved, and the equipment is onsite, the schedule was coordinated with Starlink installation team in Las Cruces, NM.
Our expert Starlink installers arrived onsite and performed a Starlink obstruction test to determine the optimal location for installing the Starlink dish. Based on the result, the chosen location has “Good experience”, across key activities such as streaming video, web browsing, video calls and online gaming are expected to function smoothly with minimal interruptions.

The Starlink dish is securely mounted using the Ridgeline mount. It is ideal for locations where surrounding obstructions require maximum height for an unobstructed sky view. It also provides a firm, stable grip to the ridge with clamps and straps to avoid roof penetration and damage.

The Starlink proprietary cable was carefully routed from the dish to the indoor location of the Gen3 WiFi mesh router. Using the Starlink App, the team configured the router with the customer’s preferred SSID and password. Then, the customer was oriented on how to use the Starlink App.

After hardware setup, the team performed the Starlink alignment test to confirm that the dish had a clear view of the sky. The dish has motorized movement that automatically adjusts its position to align with satellites.

Then, the Starlink Internet Speed was executed 20 minutes after installation. It is important to note that the Starlink system typically takes up to 12 hours to achieve optimal performance.

This speed test reflects:
This indicates a stable and high-quality Starlink connection, capable of supporting residential connectivity needs without noticeable lag or bandwidth limitations.

DID YOU KNOW:
Las Cruces is known as the “City of the Crosses,” believed to be named after a cluster of wooden crosses once marking burial sites along historic travel routes. Today, it serves as the gateway to the Organ Mountains, Desert Peaks National Monument, offering a dramatic backdrop to the city skyline.
It’s also home to New Mexico State University, one of the state’s oldest public research universities, and sits near White Sands Missile Range, where critical aerospace and defense testing continues to take place, making the region a key hub for space technology and innovation in the Southwest.
Doña Ana County, NM and Doña Ana, NM are normally spelled with the tilde accent (~) over the n to use the letter ñ. In the US to spell Doña Ana without the tilde (Dona Ana) is accepted. In addition, the English keyboard does not come with the ñ built in making it harder for some to use the ñ. The word doña is used in various forms across multiple languages stemming from the Latin: domina, meaning woman of rank. Now in modern times doña is commonly used in Spanish and Portuguese meaning lady or madam.
