- Cable routing from Starlink dish to indoor Gen3 WiFi Mesh Router location.
- Activate & configure the Starlink Gen3 WiFi mesh router and place them on customer approved location with optimal coverage across the home.
- Guide the customer on how to use the Starlink App.
- Test and document the installations with photos.
The Starlink installer arrived on time and began the installation process by conducting a Starlink Obstructions Test using the Starlink App. This crucial step assesses the surroundings for possible interference, such as trees, buildings, or other structures that might block the satellite’s line of sight. The app scans the installation area using the device’s camera and offers a real-time view of any obstacles affecting signal quality.
The Starlink dish was firmly mounted on the roof eaves using a standard wall mount, ensuring stability and optimal positioning for an unobstructed sky view. The mounting process involved securely fastening the bracket to the eaves with heavy-duty screws, providing a solid foundation for the dish.
The Starlink cable was carefully routed along the roof eaves and down the exterior wall and secured with weatherproof clips. We used a cable routing kit to drill a precise entry point into the home’s exterior wall for the cable pass-through, selecting a location that provided a direct and unobtrusive path to the indoor Gen3 WiFi Mesh Router.
The Gen3 WiFi Mesh Router and power adapter were placed strategically for optimal WiFi coverage throughout the home. To enhance user experience, we guided the customer through the key features of the Starlink App, including:
- Managing their SSID
- Resetting their WiFi password
- Running speed tests
- Refreshing or resetting the Starlink network
- Troubleshooting common connectivity issues
Starlink Alignment & Performance Testing in Weatherford, TX
Our Starlink technician utilized the Starlink alignment test within the Starlink app to verify that the dish had a clear, unobstructed view of the sky, a critical factor for maintaining a stable connection with minimal service interruptions.
