DirecTV and another satellite dish installed on the roof, and there is an available cable route where the Starlink High Performance cable (25 meters) can be piggybacked. As per client, this route will be sufficient to reach the client’s home office.

Assessment of Installation Points:

The initial installation point was planned for the side of the house with two existing satellite dishes. However, to avoid frequency interference and obstructions, we decided to move the installation to the other side of the rooftop, adjacent to the existing satellite dishes.

The current installation point is located right next to the home office, facing south with no obstructions. This setup allows the cable to pass directly through the attic and into the home office.

Our Starlink installation pros arrived on schedule and started by performing the Starlink Obstructions Test using the Starlink App. This essential test helps determine the optimal dish location to ensure a strong and reliable connection to the Starlink satellite network.

The Obstructions Test resulted in a rating of “Good experience,” meaning that the location is good for smooth streaming, browsing, video calls, and gaming. This confirmed that the selected location would ensure the best connectivity and performance for the Starlink satellite network. Therefore, based on these results, our team installed the Starlink dish. We used a pivot mount and securely attached the dish to the roof eaves, ensuring proper alignment and stability for uninterrupted service even in extreme weather conditions.

The installation team of Starlink utilized a masonry cable routing kit to route the Starlink proprietary cable from the outdoor dish into the indoor Gen 3 WiFi Mesh Routers in the locations approved by the customer (home office on 2nd floor and living room on the 1st floor).

Once the cable was connected, the team activated the Starlink system. It configured the Gen 3 WiFi Mesh Router using the Starlink app with the Customer’s preferred network name (SSID) and password. We orient the customer on using the Starlink app, like accessing their SSID, password reset, running a speed test, resetting/refreshing the Starlink network, and other customer inquiries.

Next, our team conducted the Starlink Alignment Test to verify the dish was accurately positioned for optimal satellite connectivity. This process included assessing the dish’s orientation and placement to guarantee a clear sky view, ensuring maximum signal strength and performance.

Lastly, the team performed the basic and advanced Starlink Speed Tests 20 minutes after installation to assess the internet connection quality.
